Blood Donation Camp At Agc Amritsar

NSS WING OF AGC and Jagriti NGO JOINTLY ORGANIZED Blood Donation camp in ASSOCIATION WITH Guru Nanak Dev Medical Hospital and Research Centre, Amritsar & Knowledge Villa Integrated Education and Welfare Society (KVIEWS), Amritsar on    15 th Feb 2023 . In this camp, 200 units of blood were donated by staff & students. The camp was inaugurated by the Principal AGC Dr. V.K. Banga . The Paramedical staff of Guru Nanak Dev Medical Hospital and Research Center, Amritsar, and KVIEWS, Amritsar provided the technical cover in organizing this event.           Advocate Sh. Amit Sharma ji (Chairman & CEO), and  Dr. Rajneesh Arora (Managing Director) encouraged the donors by telling them that blood donation is not a small donation it is a very big donation. It could save someone's precious life, Could light a family’s lamp, and could give happiness to a family. Principal, Dr. V K Banga appreciated the donors for donating blood.

Faculty Development Program On Physical Sciences

It is an immense pleasure to share with all of you that the Department of Applied Sciences, Amritsar  Engineering Colleges, Amritsar, Punjab has successfully completed Five days long Online Faculty Development Program (FDP) on NEOTERIC DEVELOPMENTS IN PHYSICAL SCIENCES from 16th January 2023 to 20th January 2023. Dr. V K Banga, Principle AGC inaugurated the FDP. This FDP had been organized in association with the Department of Applied Sciences at Jaipur Engineering College and Research Center, Jaipur, Rajasthan. There were Eminent research scholars from renowned Institutes like IKGPTU, AGC, DRDO, and JECRC Rajasthan who delivered sessions on various topics related to Neoteric  Developments in Physical Sciences during the FDP. AGC Organizes Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Awareness Programme Workshop

  One day Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Awareness Programme Workshop was conducted on 25.01.2023 at AGC, Amritsar in association with the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industry under National Intellectual Property Awareness Mission (NIPAM 2.0). It was conducted Online/Offline to benefit large number of audiences.  Dr. Narinder Sharma Dean R & D under the guidance of Principal V.K. Banga Managed the whole affair.   Mr. Rajneesh Pratap Singh, Examiner of Patents & Designs (Group “A” Gazetted Officer), Indian Patent Office New Delhi was the Expert for the talk and the deliverance of the content was very informative and useful.  Dr. V.K. Banga spoke about the importance of these workshops.  Chairman Advocate Shri Amit Sharma appreciated the venture and stressed on more such workshops/FDPs for the growth of faculty and industry people. 10 th Annual Faculty Cricket Tournament at AGC

Faculty Club of AGC organized its 10 th Annual Faculty Cricket Tournament on its campus. Total 4 teams (AGC PANTHERS, AGC SOLDIERS, AGC INFERNO, AND AGC LEGENDS) took part in the event. The first match was played between the AGC Panthers versus AGC Legends . The AGC Panthers team won the toss and chose the ball first. While scoring 139 in 8 overs in first innings, AGC Panthers defeated AGC Legends by 8 wickets and qualified for the finals. The same day 2nd League match was played between AGC Soldiers and AGC Inferno . AGC Inferno won the toss and elected to field first. AGC Soldiers scored 108/5 in 8 overs, won the match by 5 runs and reached the finals. The Final match was played between the AGC PANTHERS and AGC SOLDIERS . Both the teams played exceptionally well and it was tough to say, which team will win the match. The team & AGC PANTHERS were the champions and ‘AGC SOLDIERS’ were the runner up of the tournament.  Beginning the new year and new session with the benediction of the omnipresent, Shri Akhand Path Sahib Ji like always, held at AGC. Amritsar Group of Colleges, Amritsar, organized Sri Akhand Sahib Path & Hawan Yagya to commemorate the start of the new semester in January 2023. According to college custom, this solemn ceremony was held on campus, during which the Hon'ble Chairman AGC, Adv. Sh.
