Faculty Development Program On Physical Sciences

It is rightly said, "Mastering others is your strength but, Mastering yourself is your true power."

It is an immense pleasure to share with all of you that the Department of Applied Sciences, Amritsar  Engineering Colleges, Amritsar, Punjab has successfully completed Five days long Online Faculty Development Program (FDP) on NEOTERIC DEVELOPMENTS IN PHYSICAL SCIENCES from 16th January 2023 to 20th January 2023. Dr. V K Banga, Principle AGC inaugurated the FDP. This FDP had been organized in association with the Department of Applied Sciences at Jaipur Engineering College and Research Center, Jaipur, Rajasthan. There were Eminent research scholars from renowned Institutes like IKGPTU, AGC, DRDO, and JECRC Rajasthan who delivered sessions on various topics related to Neoteric  Developments in Physical Sciences during the FDP. In this program, three sessions every day were delivered on five different days.

The FDP was organized for providing knowledge and training on the fundamentals of physical sciences and their applications. Effective teaching practices are needed in order to attain excellence or to remain competitive in the quality-saving market. Physical Sciences is the systematic study of the inorganic world, as distinct from the study of the organic world, which is the province of biological sciences. Physical science is ordinarily thought of in four broad areas: astronomy, physics, chemistry, and earth sciences which consist of various subtypes. As we all know applied sciences is that department that connects different departments as it consists of faculty and students from various branches. So, this variation in fields provides the best platform for events such as  FDP.

The main objective of the FDP program was to make the participants familiar with the basics of natural sciences and what impact it forms on advanced developments of physical sciences. The expert lectures were delivered by eminent resource persons from various academia or industry. This program was very beneficial to faculty and Research Scholars who intend to practice in the field of Physical Sciences and others. It helped the participants to meet and establish a huge network with experts in the field of physical sciences. It also helped them to know about various new technical and logical skills which help them to think more productively. At last, we can say it provides an overall exposure to current research projects and upcoming research work which is going on all around the world about Physical sciences and Natural sciences.

There were 15 Resource persons and around 60 faculty members from various well-known institutes present in the session.
