  Amritsar Group of Colleges echoed with joyous celebrations as the institution embraced the Lohri festival's fervour. Faculty and staff came together in festive vibes to mark the occasion in a traditional yet jubilant manner. Advocate Sh. Amit Sharma, Chairman AGC, Madam Ragini Sharma, Director Finance AGC, Dr. Rajneesh Arora, Managing Director and Dr. Gaurav Tejpal, Principal AGC, graced the occasion and lit the ceremonial bonfire to start the celebrations. The atmosphere was vibrant with the Punjabi folk songs, Giddha and Bhangra. The entire gathering looked fantastic, adorned in traditional festival attire, reflecting the essence of the Lohri festivities. Amidst the laughter and joy, everyone relished the customary Lohri delicacies of moongfali, reverrian and popcorn. The event encapsulated the essence of unity and cultural diversity, developing a sense of togetherness among the entire team of Amritsar Group of Colleges.

AGC Amritsar inaugurates the Virtual Labs Nodal Centre in association with IIT Roorkee.

  AGC added another feather to its cap of achievements by su ccessfully establishing the Nodal Centre for Virtual Labs in association with Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, an initiative of Ministry of Education, under the National Mission of Education Scheme through ICT, and conducting a two-day workshop to create awareness about it. Dr. Gaurav Tejpal, Principal AGC Amritsar, inaugurated the Virtual Labs Nodal Centre. He stated that Virtual Labs nodal centre will help in reducing the industry- academia gap as student’s learning approach will become more practical oriented. He also highlighted the fact that collaboration with IIT Roorkee, will provide students an opportunity to become a part of Virtual labs as developers under the internship scheme provided by IIT Roorkee, which will further reduce the placement challenges faced by them.
