Amritsar Law College Clinches Overall Trophy at 1st Nationwide CGCU Youth Parliament 2026

 Amritsar Law College, Amritsar, has brought immense pride to the institution by winning the Overall Trophy at the 1st Nationwide CGCU Youth Parliament 2026, held at CGC University, Mohali. The event was conducted on the contemporary and highly relevant theme of “Regulation of Digital Media Platforms and Social Media,” providing students a national platform to deliberate upon pressing legal and constitutional challenges of the digital era.


Adding to this prestigious achievement, Karanpal Singh, student of B.A. LL.B. 6th Semester, was adjudged the Best Verbal Speaker for his exceptional articulation, analytical depth, and commanding parliamentary debating skills. His outstanding performance significantly contributed to the team’s overall success. The students were meticulously guided and mentored by Dr. Shivani Arora, faculty member at Amritsar Law College, who played a pivotal role in preparing them for the event. Her guidance was further enriched by her recent award of a PhD on the topic “Role of Data Protection Laws in Safeguarding Privacy Rights in the Digital Era,” which added valuable academic and practical insight to the team’s preparation.


Worthy Principal Dr. Avon Kumar Vaid, Amritsar Law College, Amritsar, congratulated the winning student and the entire team for their remarkable achievement. He appreciated the students’ dedication, discipline, and rigorous preparation, and stated that such accomplishments reflect the institution’s commitment to nurturing leadership, critical thinking, and constitutional values among law students.
