AGC Amritsar organized 5th Annual Books Exhibition in Commemoration of Librarians’ Day


The Central Library of Amritsar Group of Colleges, successfully organized its 5th Annual Books Exhibition to commemorate the Librarians’ Day which is celebrated on the birth anniversary of Dr. S.R. Ranganathan, the father of library science in India. This exhibition showcased a diverse collection of books across various genres, aiming to inspire students to develop a love for reading and expand their literary horizons.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from the entire campus community, with over 2000 students from various departments, faculty and staff members visiting the exhibition. This exhibition not only celebrated the legacy of Dr. S.R. Ranganathan but also provided an excellent opportunity for students and staff to explore new literary works and enhance their intellectual pursuits.

The exhibition was officially inaugurated by the revered Director Finance, Madam Ragini Sharma, in the presence of worthy Managing Director, Dr. Rajneesh Arora, worthy Principal, Dr. Gaurav Tejpal, along with Deans, Controller of Examinations and Heads of Departments. The dignitaries appreciated this initiative by the Central Library, recognizing it as an important step to develop a culture of reading and knowledge sharing within the institution.

It is also worth mentioning that Madam Ragini Sharma also inaugurated the "Wall of Radiance," an open library where anyone can take a book and leave a book to create a culture of sharing and continuous learning.
