In promoting awareness among students and the society at large, World Environment Week under the theme “Beat Plastic Pollution” from 2nd-8th June, 2023 is being celebrated by Amritsar Group of Colleges, Amritsar. Under this Department of Civil Engineering arranged the Seminar of Er. Harpal Singh (Superintendent Engineer, Punjab Pollution Control Board) on 2nd June 2023. Dr. V.K Banga, Principal, AGC, said the objective of celebrating Environment Week was to make younger generation more sensitive towards environmental protection.  He also spotlighted the AGC special effort in further strengthening ONE STUDENT-ONE TREE movement extending it beyond the boundaries of the Institution reaching the village Rakh Jhita for Tree Plantation, village cleanliness and awareness camp to the Rakh Jhita inhabitants with the support of S. Ramesh Singh  (Sarpanch) of Rakh Jhita village. This of course adds a feather in the crown of AGC.

Chairman, AGC Advocate Sh. Amit Sharma, Director Finance, Madam Ragini Sharma congratulated team AGC for organizing such events on the occasion of World Environment Day. They stress the need of the masses to understand the seriousness to conserve our nature and environment. They also highlighted the continuously ongoing endeavour of AGC to plant more and more trees year after year.
