Amritsar Group of Colleges

There are two types of colleges: (1) Affiliated, and (2) Autonomous. The first group is connected to a certain university. They must adhere to all rules and regulations, as well as the university's approved course of study. The University makes all of the decisions regarding admissions. The university also administers the exams. This indicates that the identical exam papers and evaluation standards will be used for all colleges affiliated with the same university.   On the other hand, autonomous colleges are given freedom in some or all subjects. They are free to set their own evaluation standards, curriculum, etc. It is difficult to obtain the status of an autonomous college. Presently, any affiliated college that has received three consecutive higher-grade accreditations from India's National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) is eligible. Each year, this assessment is made. The college may request autonomy, and the U.G.C. may or may not grant it.  

 BHMCT is a four-year professional degree course, which is offered by many universities in Punjab.  It provides students with the necessary skills and knowledge to become successful hotel managers. To be eligible for this course, one must have passed 10+2 with at least 50% marks in aggregate from any recognized board.  Additionally, they must also have studied English as a compulsory subject in their 10+2 curriculum. Furthermore, the student must also have passed the entrance exam conducted by the university or college offering BHMCT .  This entrance exam tests the student's aptitude and knowledge of various topics related to hotel management. With these criteria met, one can pursue a successful career in hospitality management after completing BHMCT from a reputed institute in Punjab.

NSS WING OF AGC and Jagriti NGO JOINTLY ORGANIZED Blood Donation camp in ASSOCIATION WITH Guru Nanak Dev Medical Hospital and Research Centre, Amritsar & Knowledge Villa Integrated Education and Welfare Society (KVIEWS), Amritsar on    15 th Feb 2023 . In this camp, 200 units of blood were donated by staff & students. The camp was inaugurated by the Principal AGC Dr. V.K. Banga . The Paramedical staff of Guru Nanak Dev Medical Hospital and Research Center, Amritsar, and KVIEWS, Amritsar provided the technical cover in organizing this event.           Advocate Sh. Amit Sharma ji (Chairman & CEO), and  Dr. Rajneesh Arora (Managing Director) encouraged the donors by telling them that blood donation is not a small donation it is a very big donation. It could save someone's precious life, Could light a family’s lamp, and could give happiness to a family. Principal, Dr. V K Banga appreciated the donors for donating blood.

  HMCT stands for Hotel Management and Catering Technology, which is a specialized course in the field of hospitality management. The course is designed to prepare students to manage various aspects of the hospitality industry, including hotels, resorts, restaurants, catering services, and tourism. The HMCT course is usually offered at the undergraduate level as a 3- or 4-year degree program. The curriculum covers a wide range of topics, including food production and management, housekeeping management, front office management, marketing and sales, accounting and financial management, human resource management, and hospitality law and ethics. Students enrolled in an HMCT course are exposed to a mix of theoretical and practical training, which involves working in various departments of a hotel or resort, such as food and beverage service, housekeeping, front office, and kitchen. It is an immense pleasure to share with all of you that the Department of Applied Sciences, Amritsar  Engineering Colleges, Amritsar, Punjab has successfully completed Five days long Online Faculty Development Program (FDP) on NEOTERIC DEVELOPMENTS IN PHYSICAL SCIENCES from 16th January 2023 to 20th January 2023. This FDP had been organized in association with the Department of Applied Sciences at Jaipur Engineering College and Research Center, Jaipur, Rajasthan.
