Prosperous Tradition of Annual Cake-Mixing Ceremony at AGC, Amritsar
Amritsar Group of Colleges organized its annual event ' Cake-Mixing Ceremony- 2022 ' ahead of Christmas Celebrations. The Principals of various renowned schools of Amritsar marked their presence in the ceremony and participated in the event graciously and had a lot of fun and a wonderful experience. Cake mixing is the event when all the ingredients of festive fruit cake (i.e. Mixed Peels, Prunes & Brown sugar, etc.) are marinated together with wine and liquor one month before Christmas and then on the occasion, is distributed to all the friends, family & relatives. An interesting array of fruits, nuts, and spices went into a huge cauldron. Endless bottles of spirits and syrups like golden syrup, molasses, honey, and vanilla essence were poured into the mix while a number of gloved hands rolled up their sleeves and participated in a hearty mixing of dry fruits and nuts for plum cakes with spirits and kneaded the concoction.
